ABOUT ME

Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, I began writing at an early age.  It wasn't until I was in the latter part of my seventh grade year, when I was introduced to the gothic adventures of "Castlevania" and "Castlevania II - Simon's Quest", that I came to take my writing more seriously.  Already having a fascination with medieval fantasy, ghost stories, and the various works of Edgar Allen Poe, I came across the newly released (at the time) Ravenloft novels “Vampire of the Mists” and “Knight of the Black Rose”, which combined the gothic adventure of “Castlevania” with the elements of medieval fantasy, sparking my interest into a flame that would burn inside of me for the rest of my life.  With the release of "Castlevania III - Dracula's Curse, I was inspired to write a gothic adventure of my own.  Though it was originally a script meant to be a neighborhood play, I began to see the potential locked within the story, which was bigger than anything I could do in a script.  I began penning down the ideas, and before long, the story grew into what would become a series of vampire hunter books of which I am currently writing.

My love for writing grew into a passion upon being exposed to the "Dungeons & Dragons" game.  I was intrigued by the living stories being told within each adventure that I played out, however; when I learned that "Ravenloft” was one of the settings for the "Dungeons & Dragons" rules, I was hooked.  I began hosting games of my own, using my players to hone my storytelling skills.  By directing these living stories, I learned how to create moving descriptions, using vivid and ambient descriptions to make the scenes come alive.  Aside from the before mentioned vampire hunter novels, I am also in the process of building a highly detailed fantasy world, rich in its own history, exotic creatures, and forgotten lore.  I have many stories to share with the world, and I know that one day I shall.  I am currently writing Book 1 of "The Vampire Killer Tales".

My Influences are:  Castlevania - Tolkien - R. A. Salvatore - Blackmore's Night - H. P. Lovecraft - Robert E. Howard - Midnight Syndicate - Edgar Allen Poe - Hans Christen Andersen - The Brothers Grimm - Ravenloft - Lisa Lynn Franco - Tangerine Dream - as well as many others.
